Imagina las paletas de colores de una puesta de sol junto a las aguas cristalinas de la playa, un impresionante lago pintado por sus aguas glaciares y los sobrecogedores ca\u00f1ones besados por la luz de la ma\u00f1ana. \u00a1Qu\u00e9 espect\u00e1culo!<\/p><p>Sin embargo, existe un ladr\u00f3n que puede robarle esas experiencias visuales: El glaucoma. M\u00e1s de 3 millones de personas lo padecen en Estados Unidos y 80 millones en todo el mundo. Pueden empezar lentamente, por lo que es posible que no las notemos de inmediato. No existen curas conocidas, pero un tratamiento precoz a menudo puede detener el da\u00f1o y proteger nuestra visi\u00f3n.<\/p><p>Los s\u00edntomas son p\u00e9rdida lenta de la visi\u00f3n perif\u00e9rica, halos o anillos de colores alrededor de las luces, dolor ocular intenso y visi\u00f3n borrosa gradual. Cualquier persona de cualquier edad puede padecer glaucoma, pero algunas personas tienen mayor riesgo.<\/p><p><strong>Entre las personas con mayor riesgo se
