Babilonci su govorili da srce obitava intelekt i ljubav. Grk Aristotel je svojim slu\u0161ateljima govorio da je ono sjedi\u0161te osjetila i podru\u010dje du\u0161e. Nauka kona\u010dno otkriva da je ono pumpa koja cirkulira krv kroz cijelo tijelo.<\/p><p>Zanimljivo je da, iako se mnoge poslovice odnose na figurativno srce \u2013 na\u0161e unutarnje motive i \u017eelje, fizi\u010dko srce (samo ne\u0161to ve\u0107e od na\u0161e \u0161ake) doslovno je mjesto odakle \u017eivot proizlazi! Kuca otprilike 100.000 puta dnevno, pumpaju\u0107i krv \u017eivota kroz 60.000 milja kardiovaskularnog sustava tijela \u2013 oko 2.000 galona dnevno \u2013 brzina protoka koja bi mogla napuniti olimpijski bazen za manje od godinu dana! Tako\u0111er ima vlastitu elektri\u010dnu opskrbu i nastavit \u0107e kucati neko vrijeme \u010dak i odvojena od tijela. <strong>Nijedan mi\u0161i\u0107 u na\u0161em tijelu ne radi ja\u010de, du\u017ee i postojanije od srca.<\/strong><\/p><p>Me\u0111utim, bolesti srca prema CDC-u: \u201csu \u010deste i vode\u0107i su uzrok smrti kod mu\u0161karaca, \u017eena i ljudi ve\u0107ine rasnih i etni\u010dkih skupina u Sjedinjenim Ameri\u010dkim Dr\u017eavama. Gotovo polovica odraslih u SAD-u ima visok krvni tlak, \u0161to ih izla\u017ee riziku od sr\u010danih bolesti i mo\u017edanog udara. Tro\u0161kovi zdravstvenih usluga, lijekova i izgubljene produktivnosti zbog sr\u010danih bolesti iznosili su $252,2 milijarde izme\u0111u 2019. i 2020. godine.\u201d<\/p><p>Kako mo\u017eemo brinuti o na\u0161em srcu? Ovaj velja\u010di obilje\u017eava se 58. Ameri\u010dki mjesec srca, a Ameri\u010dko udru\u017eenje za srce (AHA) poziva ljude diljem zemlje da: \u201cPOVRATITE SVOJ RITAM.\u201d To zna\u010di povratiti kontrolu nad na\u0161om mentalnom i
