Championing Success and Creativity
Precision HealthCare Consultants acknowledges that August is recognized as National Black Business Month! Dedicated to honoring and valuing black-owned businesses nationwide, we want to highlight their significance in the ongoing pursuit of diversity and equality within the country.
Recognizing the contributions of black business owners and entrepreneurs honors their legacies, particularly during this dedicated month, which underscores the significant economic impact of black-owned businesses. Black-owned businesses comprise approximately 10% of all American enterprises, and within the category of minority-owned businesses, about 30% are attributed to black entrepreneurs. At Precision HealthCare Consultants, we are proud to be a part of this landscape, with our founder and CEO Vanessa Best being a Black and female business owner.
There has been encouraging growth in the landscape of black owned business; however, black owned businesses still encounter a disproportionate number of challenges, particularly in accessing capital. It’s important to acknowledge the rich history, the challenges overcame, and the vibrant future of Black entrepreneurship.
The Roots of Black Entrepreneurship
The legacy of Black entrepreneurship in America is deeply rooted in a history of resilience and determination. Despite facing systemic barriers, Black entrepreneurs have consistently demonstrated ingenuity and tenacity. From the thriving Black Wall Streets of the early 20th century to the modern-day tech innovators and business moguls, Black-owned businesses have played a crucial role in shaping the economic landscape.
