The 1st Annual 5 Boro Chamber of Commerce MBWE Awards was held on January 22, 2015 at the Schimmel Center @ Pace University, NYC. This event celebrated the successes of MWBEs in New York City. Each chamber honored one woman and one minority business owner from their borough.
Brooklyn honored Vanessa Best, CEO of Precision Healthcare Consultants.

She began a fledgling medical billing firm, obtaining her first contract with a doctor who opened his own practice after a leaving a prestigious NYC hospital. Now, armed with over 25 years of experience, there is nothing novice about Precision Healthcare Consultants which provides clients which range from Private Practitioners to several Health Care Centers in Brooklyn with services such as ICD-10 adoption, revenue cycle management, credentialing, marketing, auditing, medical billing, clinical documentation programs and office management training.
“Being invited by Veronica Harris, Chair of MWBE Committee at Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce to attend a meeting with the group several years ago was the start of me taking my business to the next level,” states Ms. Best. She adds, “The numerous resources of the Committee enabled me to obtain my NYS & NYC Certification, network with phenomenal entrepreneurs, receive practical tools to grow my business and access to opportunities available. I had the honor of having mentors like Juan Perez of Hybrid Media, that encouraged me to apply to the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program which was another highlight of my career.”
